10 Comic Plot Twists That Were Hiding In Plain Sight

Jason Todds' return in Under the Red Hood was naturally a fair surprise, as at this point the ex-Robin had been presumed dead for a good few years.

But, in true form, the Dark Knight gives us a huge hint as to who the Red Hood may be way before we uncover it - in a scene that sees him summon Superman to ask exactly how the Man of Steel came back from the dead, interrogating him relentlessly about whether this would also be possible for non-superhuman individuals.

While the rest of the comic is peppered with clues - all linking Jason squarely as the identity under the titular Red Hood - this one is by far the most transparent.

After all, who else has both died before and has intimate knowledge of how Batman works? It's an incredibly small Venn diagram, and one that'll leave you wondering how the hell you missed it on a second read.
