10 Comic Villains Who Were Right All Along

8. Poison Ivy

Poison Ivy
DC Comics

As much as Poison Ivy's human-hating, civilisation-destroying goals are definitely far fetched, it's undeniable that her whole 'humans are destroying the plants and planet' message is one that continues to be correct. With climate change steadily growing out of hand, and the Earth approaching the point of no return - as well as things like deforestation - it seems pretty fair that the woman who is half plant considers all this a gesture of war against nature.

And, although hardcore, if her actions make people take better care of the environment, it's hard to disagree with using intimidation tactics to make sure the world is saved. After all, if Pamela would drop the actual murder side of things, she'd essentially be a plant-protecting version of the Dark Knight - only one that is reminding people to not litter, instead of not stabbing people.

While it's not okay to kill people for not taking their green bins out, the threat of climate change would feel a lot more real if it came with the threat of getting punched in the face by Poison Ivy.
