10 Comic Villains Who Were Right All Along

6. Magneto

Poison Ivy
Marvel Comics

Given he is occasionally responsible for some pretty awful deeds, it feels more than a little weird to say that Magneto is, on a lot of levels, right.

As much as Professor X's ideology of trying to help people understand and fix their prejudice towards mutants is more heroic, Magneto's argument that this will never fully happen does appear to hold weight, as it does seem despite the sacrifices and heroic actions of the X-Men, some people will always hold negative ideas about mutantkind.

When Magneto's plans are non-violent, then, they're quite difficult to not see as understandable, as things like moving to an island away from the people who want to kill you seems entirely reasonable.

In fact, Professor Xavier assists in doing this exact thing in the House of X series with the island of Krakoa, and their joined efforts genuinely appear to make life for mutants significantly better - all because Xavier was willing to accept that, on some levels, Magneto actually has some better ideas than him.

I like my comics like I like my coffee - in huge, unquestionably unhealthy doses.
