10 Comic Villains Who Were Right All Along

5. Villainy Inc.

Poison Ivy
DC Comics

In a rare case of genuinely relatable reasoning, the Golden Age team of Villainy Inc. was made up of a group of otherwise common crooks, who were kidnapped, taken to a strange island, and fitted with 'Venus Girdles' which leave them with absolutely no free will - and somehow weren't reformed by this process, much to the surprise of the Amazons who detained them.

As such, it's perhaps completely unsurprising that, after being freed from this Clockwork Orange-esque scenario, the villains become much, much worse. After all, they now know that the 'good guys' essentially use brain control on anyone they don't agree with - which makes the supposedly heroic Amazons seems distinctively evil.

It's pretty hard to blame someone for holding a grudge against the person who held them mind-controlled and against their will, meaning that all of the team's attempts to fight the Amazons after this are arguably justifiable, as Wonder Woman's warriors are basically committing war crimes on the sly.
