Death Toll: Over Half The Life In The Universe

While Galactus has his pile of bodies spread across the infinite cosmos, his death toll is nothing when compared to Thanos the Mad Titan. In his quest to court the entity known as Death, Thanos found the Infinity Gems and assembled them into the Infinity Gauntlet.

Once they were put together, nothing could stop Thanos from doing something so simple, it's almost ridiculous. He snapped his fingers, and half of all life in the universe was killed. They simply vanished at random across the many planets of the Marvel Universe leaving the survivors to mourn them.

The remaining superheroes of the Marvel Universe banded together to take on the Mad Titan, but he was able to subdue each and every one of them. Ultimately, it was his hubris that ended Thanos' reign of terror. He left a withering corpse of Gamora near his own body when he assumed the role of Eternity, which left the Infinity Gauntlet within her reach.

All of his deaths were wiped out when she set the clock back 24 hours, but you can't disregard the simple fact that Thanos once killed half of all life. That's far more than Galactus could ever achieve.
