10 Comic Villains You Didn't Realise Actually Won

4. Magneto - X-Men (2019)

Injustice 2 Darkseid

The new lives of the X-Men and their fellow mutants on Krakoa is shown as pretty damn sweet. They live on an idyllic lush tropical island, they're protected by the fact that non-mutant humans can't get to said island, and they have laws unto themselves, to safeguard from the persecution they so often received.

But here's the thing; this is exactly what Magneto wanted the whole time. In fact, he did something very similar not that long before, with the island of Genosha, that was also intended to be a paradise for mutants.

While Erik also made compromises for Krakoa - such as chilling out on that whole "killing all humans" thing - the vast majority of his separatist ideals are perfectly followed by the X-Men's new home. Which is both cool, and slightly unnerving, when you remember how long the Master of Magnetism warred with them over ideology.
