10 DC Heroes Who Were Once Criminals

Following the death of his parents, Garfield Logan would have to suffer the abuse of various adults who would seek to use his transformative powers for their own personal gain. He was at first abducted by some American bandits who were originally hired by an African witch doctor, who originally had a vendetta against the Logan family. Due to an unexpected turn of events, Gar would then be used by these men to commit crimes for them in exchange for their protection.

Although they would eventually kill one another, Garfield would soon find himself manipulated once again, but this time by an evil circus owner. The owner would then proceed to use Garfield by hypnotizing him to not only steal from the audience but unwillingly perform for him as the star attraction for his circus.

In time, however, the Teen Titans would free Garfield of his influence and finally end this cycle of abuse. Later on, Gar would eventually find a home with the Doom Patrol and join their team as the hero Beast Boy. He would eventually also join the Teen Titans under the same name.
