10 Deadliest Comic Book Assassins (That You'd Totally Hire)

5. Gamora

Gamora has risen to popularity in the last few years due to Zoe Saldana's great performance, spot-on costume, and key role in the MCU's Infinity saga. Long before she joined up with the Guardians of the Galaxy, though, Gamora was the adopted daughter of Thanos, raised and trained by him to be a tool against his enemies and becoming one of the universe's deadliest women.

Life as a child with Thanos was about what you'd expect - he was by no means a kind father, but he did take care of Gamora, promising her the chance to avenge the deaths of her race. Despite already having substantial training, when she was a teenager Gamora was attacked and raped by a gang of thugs. Thanos found her, killed the thugs, then had Gamora not only healed but enhanced with cybernetics boosting her strength, reflexes, and agility.

Once Thanos' ultimate plan of universal death became known, Gamora left him, hiring herself out as an assassin before finding her way to the Infinity Watch and then the Guardians.

Gamora is skilled in multiple martial arts, can wield almost any weapon (but prefers blades), and, until joining the Infinity Watch, had very few qualms about killing any target presented to her.
