8. Hunted By A Predator

In one of the weirder turns for either franchise, the mid-nineties saw Batman coming up against not only an Alien but also a Predator, and fared...well, about well as you'd imagine Batman would against such an unprecedented enemy. Which is to say, not very well the first time.

Completely unprepared for the vicious mercenary alien hunter stalking the streets of Gotham, the Caped Crusader nevertheless engages what he sees as a clear threat. Except when your whole shtick is skulking around in the shadows, and your enemy uses heat vision, you're kinda boned.

So when Batman started investigating the mysterious death of two boxers, he probably wasn't reckoning on a Predator showing up. And then totally whupping him. Like, to the point that Bruce is in a full body cast afterwards.
