10 Different Ways You Can Actually Defeat Galactus

1. Don't Actually Do Anything

Funnily enough, the smartest way to beat Galactus could, actually, be to leave him alone. No, seriously, there's a reason why.

Because Galactus is a primordial being, and one who literally lived through the big bang, he's an incredibly powerful entity. Eliminating him from the equation actually begets a terrible response, as was the case when Abraxas entered the scene in 2001.

Said character, whose presence was masked by Galactus' own, arrived after the world eater was killed on account of his newfound policy to intentionally target intelligent worlds. Galactus quite literally kept the character in check, but without him around, Abraxas was free to enact his policy of bringing the universe to an end.

To ensure he maintained a consistent presence, Abraxas took control of the Nullifier and used it to wipe all traces of Galactus from every timeline out there. That's not good when you think about it, as it's much more preferable to have a planet eater over a guy who - for all intents and purposes - wants to destroy everything.

So really, the only true way you can beat Galactus is to leave him alone. Because, if you do manage to get him, then this Abraxas bloke will be waiting for you.
