10 Directors Who Need To Step Into The Marvel Cinematic Universe

8. J. J. Abrams

The king of the reboot has yet to venture into superhero territory. We have seen J. J. Abrams venture into science fiction and bring new life to the beloved Star Wars and Star Trek franchises, but he is yet to explore the world of comic books.

Abrams would be a great choice to bring in specifically for the X-Men series. His balance of humour and action would make for an interesting, more whacky take on the beloved team. He has already shown (specifically in Star Trek) that he can balance a team of characters. The crew of the Enterprise were all extremely unique and the main strength of that particular film is how well each character plays off each other.

Another arrow in his quiver is his delivery of the action sequences. Say what you want about both Star Trek: Into Darkness and Star Wars: The Force Awakens but there is no denying the fact that the action is superb. He manages to balance all aspects of the fight scenes, going from X-Wing combat back down to lightsaber battles.

While he may be a significantly polarizing figure in the world of cinema, J. J. Abrams would make a great choice for bring the X-Men into the MCU.
