10 Directors Who Need To Step Into The Marvel Cinematic Universe

One of the emerging talents in Hollywood today, Greta Gerwig has had two breakthrough hits with Lady Bird and Little Women. Within both of these films, Gerwig has shown that she can draw incredible performances out of her actors and create well fleshed out character pieces.

Bringing a talent like Gerwig into the MCU would allow for smaller stories to be told. This could be characters as small as Squirrel Girl or Ms. Marvel who both have low scale notoriety in the Marvel Universe yet they could thrive in a Gerwig directed feature.

While we haven't seen what Gerwig can do with action, it's safe to say that she is a great innovator would could easily put her own stamp on action sequences. Some of the shots/sequences in Lady Bird have escalating tension that could easily be transferred into the MCU. We have seen smaller scale stories work wonders with Spider-Man: Homecoming, so bringing Gerwig into this aspect of the universe could make for some insanely interesting stories.
