9. Snack Time! (Ultimatum)

While he has nothing on Heavy Flo, the Blob is also pretty disgusting as super villains go. However, his inclusion on this list transcends his grotesque appearance and is due instead to his insatiable appetite.

The Ultimate Marvel Universe was originally created to update the company's iconic characters for a new generation, but the new imprint also enabled writers to make fundamental changes that would just not be possible within regular Marvel continuity. However, Jeph Loeb took this to the extreme when he wrote the Ultimatum mini-series, killing off a huge number of beloved characters, while outraging fans in the process.

SPOILER ALERT - During the mayhem of Ultimatum, the Wasp drowns in the tsunami that hits New York City. That in itself would be pretty devastating for her husband Hank Pym, but when the poor man discovers her corpse, the Blob is eating her flesh, tearing at her body with his teeth. The word unnecessary doesn't even begin to cover it. Of all the senseless deaths in this series, David Finch's graphic visuals make this act of cannibalism one of the most disgusting. You could argue that more graphic scenes have been depicted in comics, but this is Marvel people... And not even Marvel Zombies!

Fortunately, the Blob is punished for his heinous crimes by an enraged Hank Pym who bites his head off while in giant form. If only the same could have happened to Jeph Loeb...
