10 Dumbest Decisions Marvel Heroes Have Ever Made

7. Bruce Banner Played Minor League Baseball... As The Hulk - Incredible Hulk #435 (1995)

Because the US government is usually trying to hunt down the Incredible Hulk, Bruce Banner does his best to keep a low profile. The gamma-irradiated scientist found himself in a bit of a pickle during the 1990s when he was unable to revert to his normal form. To hide his Hulkness, he wore bandages around his entire body so he looked like a mummy. This might sound ridiculous but it emphasises the desperate measures Bruce was willing to take the maintain his secret identity.

Except that one time where he decided to play minor league baseball for the Pistols. What makes this decision more ridiculous is that he reminded Betty Ross how important it is not to stand out TEN SECONDS before he agreed to take up professional sports. During this time, Hulk maintained the mind of Bruce Banner so he intellectually understood the dangers of this decision and yet, still did it.

Unsurprisingly, he got into a fight with a supervillain less than five minutes into his first game, which led to the pitch's destruction and nearly resulted in dozens of audience members getting killed.
