10 Essential Suicide Squad Stories
4. Suicide Squad: Bad Blood (2019)
From the mind that brought you Injustice and DCeased, Tom Taylor's eleven issue series takes the reader on a mind-blowing adventure with twists and turns and many dead squad members.
Working with his Injustice collaborators Bruno Redondo and Daniel Sampere, the art is stellar as usual with beautiful scenery and graphic action, and matches Taylor's savage writing style superbly.
As the comic begins, Task Force X is under a new administration with the worst Suicide Squad team ever (Deadshot's own words). The squad is tasked with taking down a group of international super-terrorists called the Revolutionaries. After team members die on both sides, the teams are combined, much to everyone's dismay and frustration.
From there, the story pivots, as Deadshot and Harley are trapped between the Revolutionaries and Task Force X. With political intrigue and page-turning suspense, it is a fantastic read and a must-own for any Suicide Squad fan.
