Marvel ComicsFollowing the events of Avengers vs. X-Men, Cyclops is held in prison by SHIELD. His brother, Havok, visits him to discuss his actions while Wolverine gives the eulogy at the funeral of Professor X. Captain America and Thor approach Havok, informing him that the Avengers want to do more for mutantkind by forming the Avengers Unity Squad, a team composed of both X-Men and Avengers, to guide the world by example. And Cap wants Havok to lead the team. Consisting of Havok, Cap, Thor, Wolverine, Rogue, the Scarlet Witch, Wonder Man, the Wasp and Sunfire, the Avengers Unity Squad faces numerous challenges. One of which is a clone of the Red Skull, who has stolen Xaviers body and removed the brain so he could steal Xaviers telepathic abilities for himself. Divided by constant bickering, the Unity Squad nonetheless needs to find a way to work together. Because in the future, the Red Skull has become the latest incarnation of Onslaught and the Apocalypse Twins, the children of Archangel and Pestilence, are working with Kang the Conqueror. If you want to understand the upcoming Axis event in the fall, The Red Shadow is the story that introduces the Avengers Unity Squad and also the new Red Skull and lays the groundwork for his transformation into Onslaught.
