Imagine everything you know about Batman. His determination to protect Gotham, his profound care for all humankind, the ruthless striving for a way to channel his suffering into bettering others lives. The things that make Batman... well, Batman.
Now imagine he just shrugs, quits, and sells all his cool Bat-stuff. That is the beautiful reality of the cover of Batman #191, and it honestly gets funnier the longer you think about it.
We all know it's part of some clever Bat-antics - this time aimed at stopping the premium name of Ira Radon - but it's still glorious to imagine people's reactions to the hero selling out.
The only thing that could have improved this is the auction being a new origin story for a new Batman, which would have been maybe the greatest backstory ever.
