The 2010 X-Men comic pulled off one of the single ballsiest starts in comic history, by having the first character on-page be a man encased head to toe in leather bondage gear, complete with zip-mask.

It's an accidentally hilarious way to start a comic – one that makes you check the cover, just to make sure you’ve not gotten the wrong comic.

As a general rule, the first few pages of comics tend to be important, with major characters introduced and the rough plot revealed. Not only is this man not a major character, but he also dies pages after introduction, making the whole thing entirely unnecessary - which is somehow even funnier.

All this aside and the intro would still be pretty funny – only because it leaves you briefly considering that this may be a new addition to the team.
