10 Future Versions Of Heroes BETTER Than The Original

5. Cosmic Ghost Rider

Batman Beyond
Marvel Comics

The future version of Punisher, Frank Castle, is Cosmic Ghost Rider. In this future a dead (killed by Thanos) Frank Castle comes back as Ghost Rider, and ends up getting cosmic powers (and a sarcastic sense of humor after spending too long on an empty Earth where he is the lone survivor). He later joins forces with Thanos, and then travels to the past to kill a baby Thanos to stop the tragic future they've all lived through from happening.

... It's a lot.

The original Frank Castle is driven to vigilante justice after the death of his family. He murders and tortures people in his war on crime. The future version of the Spirit of Vengeance has all the same prowess of his younger self, but with extra powers: riding a flaming space motorcycle dishing out vengeance with a baby in tow.

Turns out that baby Thanos might be wild and violent, but he is still a child and innocent. When Frank traveled to the past, he realized he couldn't kill Thanos and so instead straps the baby to his chest and takes him adventuring to an alternate timeline he accidentally created.

The Punisher is grimdark galore, but the future version of his character brings something new and fun to the mix. Cosmic Ghost Rider is more powerful, less predictable, sassier, and he's got an adorable baby Thanos by his side.

West loves pop culture, movies, comics and TV-shows just as much as you do. Probably. Since you're reading this. Also, she has a cat. He's pretty awesome.
