10 Great Batman Villains No One Ever Remembers

1. Anarky

Arkham-Origins2Origin: Lonnie Machin was an ordinary child, except for his rather large intellect, and was seen as asocial and politically unaware. However, when a pen-pal of his in a more war-torn part of the world is left to fend for himself, Machin sees how ugly the world can be. Further reading into war and politics made him a radical theorist. He sees war as the doings of the politically elite and the middle and lower class people are made to suffer because of an often personal disagreement. When he finds a rare book called Universe by Scudder Klyce, which puts forward the idea of all knowledge being unified, he believes that there is a need to reshape society and decides to take this task on. He believes that if he can't help his friend he can give the people of Gotham hope in honour of his memory. Abilities: Master of engineering Master of computer science First Appearance: Anarky first appeared in Detective Comics #608. In his first fight with Batman, Anarky responded to complaints in the newspaper by attacking those who made the complaints, who were made by people who were, in Anarky's view, were aristocratic and evil. During the first fight alone, Batman was able to deduce that Anarky was a child. So you see? There IS more than just Joker, Penguin and Two-Face that you can have in a Batman story! In fact, having these lesser-known villains in a Batman movie, for example, would probably make the movie less predictable because people who aren't comic book fans will not know what will happen, even if they are only a secondary villain (wink, wink, Warner Brothers).
