When John and Martha Kent's tire is blown by a nail on the road, they're unable to find Superman's crashed ship. In a world without a Superman, Lex Luthor very quickly rises to the position of mayor of Metropolis, stirring up violent xenophobia against the meta human community along the way.
The Justice League is feared instead of beloved, Batman is driven mad due to a massacre at Arkham Asylum, and in case you were wondering where all the League's alien friends are, they WOULD help, but there's a little problem of a mysterious force field around the entire planet, cutting Earth off from the rest of the galaxy.
