Deadpool is one of pop culture's greatest icons due to his comedic self-awareness and a complete lack of humanity.

Fans love to praise Wade Wilson for his comedy, his tragedy, and his constant rivalries with heroes and villains alike across the Marvel multiverse, but the Merc with a Mouth himself once rebelled against his fans, in the classic comic event Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe.

Deadpool has also killed more people than can possibly be counted, with many being killed simply because Wade felt like it. He has also tortured and tormented many of his closest friends and allies, ending up being rejected from his fellow mutants, from humans, even from Death herself.

His hatred of all living things makes Deadpool often become the loneliest immortal being in the Marvel universe.

While he kills mostly bad guys and their seemingly endless supply of goons, he has also killed many innocent people in some pretty messed-up ways, whether possessed by another bad guy, because they got in the way of his chaotic battles, or simply because he is insane and they bothered him at a wrong time.

Deadpool even once encouraged a teen girl to commit suicide because he knew that was the one thing he could never truly accomplish - though he has tried many, many times.
