When it comes to Dynamic Duos, no team is more legendary than Batman and Robin. It's a pairing so iconic that it's almost impossible to fathom where Batman would be had his beloved sidekick not debuted in 1940. Though many bird boys have taken flight over the years, it is the very first one, Dick Grayson, who remains the best.

A young acrobat, Dick was taken in by Bruce Wayne after his parents were murdered. Under Bruce's tutelage, he learned to let go of vengeance and instead channel justice - and just like that, Robin was born. Though the pair's differences pushed them apart on multiple occasions, Dick continued to follow in his father figure's footsteps, joining the Teen Titans before eventually becoming the vigilante known as Nightwing.

In many people's minds, there is no Batman without Robin - and it's easy to understand why. This Boy Wonder has been a valuable teammate, partner and friend to The Dark Knight over the years and has been involved in some of DC's most memorable arcs. Dick has also carved out an impressive legacy outside of the comics, with major roles in the 1966 Batman TV show, 1992's Batman: The Animated Series and the upcoming live-action Titans.
