10 Greatest Moments From Jason Aaron's Thor

6. Jane Vs Odin

Thor Jason Aaron
Marvel Comics/Russell Dauterman

Oh boy! Russell Dauterman was the perfect artist for Jane's time as the Mighty Thor. Case and point, this fight. This fight was bull headed Odin at his best and thunder slinging Jane at her best.

After the events of Original Sin which caused Thor to become unworthy of wielding Mjolnir, Jane Foster stepped forward and Mjolnir deemed her worthy, allowing Jane to become the Mighty Thor. Except no one knew about this or how this new Thor was worthy.

Odin, who had resumed his role as the All-Father, made numerous attempts to learn this new Thor's identity all of which failed. This compounded his already bad attitude towards all that had changed while Freyja was All-Mother, and this new Thor seeming to support all these changes only infuriated him even more.

The two behemoths would come to blows when Odin put Freyja on trial for treason, and the two quickly battered one another from Asgard's throne room into the nearby moons of Saturn, before punching each other into the moons of Jupiter like a couple of pin balls.

If Russell Dauterman wasn't already in the conversation of who is the best artist at Marvel, he certainly was after drawing this beautiful fight.
