Jane's time as the Mighty Thor was something special, evident by the fact that the character is set to debut as her beloved alter ego in Thor Love and Thunder. But we're not here to discuss the MCU, we're here to discuss the greatest moments from Jason Aaron's Thor.

Before Jane lifted the hammer, it was established that her cancer diagnosis was terminal. So once Jane became the Mighty Thor it was clear that her time would eventually come to an end. But what an end it was. Time after time, Jane fought to protect the gods even when they didn't deserve her help or actively rebuked her.

Still, when the Mangog came to Asgard to kill every god he could find, and with her next transformation into the Mighty Thor surely to be her last, Jane rushed hammer first towards Asgard. She managed to defeat the Mangog by sacrificing Mjolnir, but doing so undid the transformation and she died in Thor's arms.

However this wasn't the end of her story, as her sacrifice earned Odin's respect and he, along with Thor, used the God tempest once trapped inside Mjolnir to revive Jane.
