10 Heartbreaking Moments Comic Book Characters Realised THEY Were The Villain
5. Superboy - Infinite Crisis
Infinite Crisis was one of the largest events DC had ever attempted.
The series saw the collapse of the multiverse with the old versions of Superman, Wonder Woman, and others from Earth-Prime seeing what had become of the heroes of "our" current DC universe.
With DC taking a darker approach to its characters to make them more human and relatable, the old fashioned heroes were none too impressed with what they saw. But one hero, in particular, looked on in absolute disgust at what these so-called superheroes had done.
To cut a long story short, Superboy Prime decided he was going to start beef with the Superboy of this universe, Connor Kent. This was a pretty big deal, as Superboy Prime had no weakness to Kryptonite, and was generally astronomically more powerful than his counterpart.
During the scuffle, Connor called the Teen Titans for help, who in turn brought everyone they could to stop this absolute powerhouse. Because of his strength, Superboy-Prime accidentally killed a few of his attackers, which only provoked the others.
Screaming out that it was an accident and that he didn't mean to do it, Superboy began tearing his way through the heroes to try and make his escape. Blaming this new universe for turning him into a villain, he decided he would work toward ridding the world of these pretend heroes.
