10 Heartwarming Marvel Moments That Made Fans Cry

7. Iron Man Hugs Kamala - Ms. Marvel

After the Secret Wars event rehaped the Marvel universe, quite a lot changed, but just as many things stayed the same.

For example, fans of the new Ms. Marvel, Kamala Khan, were a bit scared of her being erased during the reboot (DC having put comic fans on edge when it comes to new characters and company wide reboots), only to discover that quite the opposite had happened. Kamala had joined the Avengers and was now more involved in super-heroics.

But, of course, like any teenage superhero, Kamala has trouble balancing her work with her private life, culminating in her having to choose between helping her family get ready for her brother's wedding, and helping the Avengers solve a crisis.

Seeing her stress, Iron Man hugs the and assures her that no one would hold it against her if she chooses to prioritize school, work, and family over being a superhero, because those other things are her real job.

The most interesting aspect of Kamala's relationship with the other, older superheroes is that the old guard is taking great pains to guide her to not make the mistakes they made when they were teen heroes themselves (there's another issue where Spider-Man tells her that, yes, supervillains need stopping, but her school work also needs doing).

It's a quiet, gentle scene that really drives home how much these heroes genuinely care about Kamala.
