10 Hilariously Bad Comic Book Panels You Won't Believe Exist

1. What's Sandman Doing? - Amazing Spider-Man #215 (1981)

Batman Injustice
Marvel Comics

I mean... there's nothing really to say here. The image speaks for itself.

If you thought a bit of context would help justify this infamous panel, it doesn't. Amazing Spider-Man #215 opens with Spidey and Namor the Submariner facing off against Sandman, the Wizard, Trapster, and Llyra (I've no idea who that is). After the Wizard blasts the duo with a disorientating laser, the corrupt quartet easily make light work of the superhero duo.

As Spider-Man attempts to rise to his feet, Sandman punches him in the back, knocking his nemesis to the ground.

Now, if any other supervillain performed this action, this panel would've looked completely normal. But since Flint Marko is composed of silicon, striking the wallcrawler causes sand particles to shoot in every direction. As a result, it appears as if Sandman is hitting Spidey in the butt, not the back.

Although this is pretty funny, that's not the worst part. Because the sand particles seem to be splurging from Spider-Man's rectum, the whole scenario looks like... how do I put this lightly... not appropriate for younger readers.
