10 Horror Comics You Must Read If You Love The Walking Dead

Not to be confused with the Australian coming-of-age comedy movie of the same name, Donny Cates, Garry Brown, Mark Englert and Taylor Esposito's Babyteeth follows sixteen year old Sadie Ritter, a teenage mom who happens to fall pregnant with the actual Antichrist. It's Juno, crossed with The Omen.

Pursued by several different groups of Satanists and various other flavors of religious nut, Sadie is in for an even rougher ride than most teen moms. And that's without the apocalypse riding hot on her trail - her newborn child threatening to tear open the barriers between Earth and Hell.

Like The Walking Dead, Babyteeth puts a new spin on a dusty old horror subgenre. Where Kirkman turned the zombie apocalypse into a gory soap opera, Cates crafts a black comedy/coming-of-age drama from his demonic horror story. While it takes a very different tack to the apocalypse from The Walking Dead, its fans should appreciate this fast-paced and witty supernatural thriller regardless.
