3. Shadowhawk
These last three heroes have basically nothing nice about them. Which is entirely the point about them, so that isn't necessarily a knock against them, but it still makes them utterly terrifying. Case in point: Shadowhawk.
Image comics isn't exactly known for making happy kid friendly stories - even nowadays when their track record is actually pretty good - so it's no shock that Shadowhawk isn't the nicest guy in the world. But even by the standards of Image, this guy is messed up.
He's a superhero, basically a riff on Batman (so you know, ALL Image superheroes) but with one distinct difference: when he defeats bad guys, he paralyzes them by breaking their spines. All to make sure that they can never do their evil deeds again.
Now we don't have time to unpack all of the reasons why this makes him one of the most evil "heroes" ever penned, this makes him easily one of the scariest for the various bad guys of the Image universe. Because if you catch the wrong side of fighting Shadowhawk, and you don't win/get away, then we hope the last solid food meal you had was one of your favorites, because it's the last solid thing you're gonna be eating for a while.
