10 Hulk Fates Worse Than Death

4. Becoming The Hulk/A Cannibal On Earth-1610 - Ultimate Marvel Team-Up #2

When Marvel Comics decided to revamp its plethora of popular characters in October 2000, it did so with the introduction of Earth-1610, the Ultimate Universe. The familiar characters from Earth-616 everybody knew and loved were given something of an update/upgrade, and the experiment worked.

New readers became engaged, and the universe expanded over the years to include new characters. One of the older ones to make the jump into the Ultimate Universe was the Hulk in Ultimate Marvel Team-Up #2, but he was very different from his Earth-616 counterpart. Sure, he was big, green, and mean, but he was also a cannibal.

Bruce Banner in Earth-616 may have had a penchant for beating the snot out of people, but he didn't snack on them whenever he got a little peckish. That's not true of the Ultimate Universe version. Whenever the Hulk came out, he would rampage, and he didn't limit his snacking to bad guys either.

He would often grab a civilian running from his rampage and enjoy a light snack. This trait of the Ultimate Hulk makes him a horrific reality for Bruce Banner, who had to live on, knowing he had not only eaten people — he ate innocent people!
