5. The Anti-Monitor
Like a considerably less aesthetically pleasing Galactus with a much bigger appetite, The Anti-Monitor was the central villain of the legendary Crisis On Infinite Earths saga back in 85. Billed as the deadliest villain to ever menace the Dc multiverse, Anti-Monitors reality killing ways lead to one of the biggest hero (and even some villains) alliances ever put to page.
Causing the deaths of famous characters such as Supergirl and The Flash (Barry), Anti-Monitor was eventually defeated when everyone from Animal Man to Superman to even Darkseid got their licks in, with Earth Two Superman finally finishing the monster off with one big punch. The ramifications of Anti-Monitor’s actions lead to the first of several universe wide reboots for the DC heroes.
A sporadic threat in the years since, Anti-Monitor was obliterated by the near omnipotent hothead, Superboy Prime in the acclaimed Sinestro Corps Wars event. Most recently, the Anti-Monitor fell victim (like so many before him) to the perils of the Anti-Life equation courtesy of Steve Trevor of all people (probably best to not expect this in Wonder Woman 1984 later this year).
