Although Franklin D. Roosevelt was originally going to say something similar in a speech that was to be delivered at the Jefferson Day Dinner in 1945 ("today we have learned in the agony of war that great power involves great responsibility"), he died the day before he was due to give it. Therefore, the line which essentially means the same thing is more often attributed to Peter Parker's Uncle Ben. Of course, he said it in the Sam Raimi Spider-Man movie trilogy, but originally said it in the comic books and it's one that has represented the plight of a number of heroes ever since. It's a notion that should indeed be taught in the real world. If you are in a position of power, with wealth, resources and authority at your disposal, use it responsibly and positively as a means of helping those less fortunate. It's a very simple but very meaningful lesson that anyone more fortunate than those in need would do well to adhere to.
