4. Cyclops Makes Out With Emma Frost In Front Of His Wife's Grave
For the longest time, the founding X-Men, Jean Grey and Cyclops, were the most famous couple in all of Marvel. But several years after they tied the knot Cyclops had an affair with the villainess-turned-X-Man, Emma Frost. To ensure their fling wouldn't be discovered, the two didn't have sex physically. Instead, Emma used her telepathic abilities so they could have a psychic affair. Because Jean Grey is one of the most powerful psychics in the world, she obviously found out about the pair's deception.
Shortly after, a mutant called Xorn sent a magnetic pulse through Jean's body, killing her. Unable to forgive himself for cheating on his wife, Cyclops disbanded the X-Men. Without the team to protect the world, society collapsed.
Luckily, humanity was saved... in the weirdest way possible. Jean's spirit journeyed 150 years into the future and learned the X-Men's dissolution was directly responsible for the downfall of mankind. Future Jean sent a psychic message to Past Cyclops to tell him he needed to get over her or humanity would perish. As a result, Cyclops vows never to disband the team and celebrates by making out with Emma Frost... while standing beside his wife's tombstone.
