10 Incredible Batman Comics (That Don't Star Bruce Wayne)

6. Batman And Robin: Batman Reborn

Gotham Central 1
DC Comics/Frank Quitely

You knew it had to be up here. Following the "death" of Bruce Wayne and the Battle for the Cowl, there was a new Bat-sheriff in town. Dick Grayson is the new man behind the mask, and Damian Wayne, the murder-happy bastard son of Bruce, is his Robin.

Grant Morrison is a magnificent writer who brought the absolute best foot forward in dealing with the new dynamic between Batman and Robin. Dick Grayson is still in top form as Batman, but he's not the dark, brooding figure of his forebear. Robin, on the other hand, is dark and ready to put his assassin training to good use.

That is what really makes this book shine. Everyone, be they a comic reader or not, know Batman and Robin as the Dynamic Duo, so when this title flipped that idea onto its head, it's little wonder it would become one of the most popular Batman runs.
