7. Marvel Zombies

The Marvel Zombies are, somewhat bizarrely, a beloved spin-off from Marvel Comics. Masterminded by The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman and drawn by Sean Phillips, the Zombies of the Marvel Universe are something of an inter-dimensional plague, crossing from universe to universe to satiate their ever growing appetite.

The main difference, apart from the obvious fact that this version of Steve is a zombie, is that he's a colonel in this universe. On top of the change in rank, Colonel America also served a brief term as President of the United States. (Eat your heart out, Ultimate Steve Rogers.)

The Steve Rogers of Earth-2149 was also banished to Earth-Z which, as you may have guessed already, is the Marvel Universe's zombie homeworld. The character is presumed to have perished now as well, so True Believers can sleep soundly in the fact that they won't have to worry about this particular colonel hopping across the cosmos in search of a new meal.
