10 Insane Alternate Versions Of The Joker You Won’t Believe Exist

1. The Cobra Joker - Batman/TMNT #5-6

Joker White Knight
DC Comics

As much as it's weird to say that the 2016 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover provided us with one of the best alternate universe Jokers to date, looking at the Cobra Joker... it's kind of hard to disagree.

While he's not badass in this form the way that the Pirate Joker or the Dragon Joker are, the design suits the character strikingly well, which is impressive when you think of how different a snake and the jester usually look.

Although there are some even cooler looking members of the anthropomorphised rogues gallery - as Oswald Cobblepot being made a literal penguin is almost too good to be true - seeing the venomous and unpredictable villain turned into the animal that best reflects those traits is both clever and results in a surprisingly badass looking Clown Prince.

While it's a short appearance - lasting a resounding two issues - it's a surprising little gem in a series that is infinitely better than you'd ever conceivably expect it to be.
