10 Insane Alternate Versions Of The Joker You Won’t Believe Exist

5. The Lex Luthor Joker - Superman: Speeding Bullets

Joker White Knight
DC Comics

Superman: Speeding Bullet is perhaps the single most interesting comic to seemingly be barely ever mentioned in passing conversation. It covers a universe in which Clark Kent's rocketship instead crash-landed in Gotham, resulting in him being raised by Thomas and Martha Wayne - until they are killed in a mugging, setting up Clark to take on the role of Batman.

The storyline continues to blend the Superman and Batman mythos into one, which reaches its most interesting point when Lex Luthor falls into a vat of acid and becomes the Joker.

Even though you can see it coming, there's still something inherently shocking about seeing Luthor don the clown makeup and bright clothing of the Clown Prince of Crime, especially when the pair of villains are usually almost polar opposites.

Really, the only bad thing about the Luthor-Joker combo is that we don't get an awful lot of time to see him. It's a concept that could have had its own comic, so seeing it only have 20 or so pages feels like a little bit of a let down - although one that hopefully means they could do more on the concept in the future.
