10 Insane Alternate Versions Of The Joker You Won’t Believe Exist

3. The Laughing Man - Batman: Nosferatu

Joker White Knight
DC Comics

Half robot, half Frankenstein-esque reanimated body, The Laughing Man manages to lose the larger-than-life personality of our usual Joker, and create something far more frightening, as the inhuman figure the naked cyborg cuts wakes up all those old 'fight-or-flight' instincts tucked away in the corners of your mind.

Created by Jeremiah Arkham to 'tell the future', The Laughing Man actually makes his own - by telling people when they are going to die, and then killing them to ensure that his predictions are true. And they aren't gentle murders, either, as we see him kill this universe's Dick Grayson by completely severing his head from his spine, revelling in the gruesome beheading.

For better or for worse, this sets up for an equally unsettling-looking Batman to appear, and for a suitably disturbing fight to take place.

If you're one of the few people who both adore Batman and the Cabinet of Dr. Caligiri, there are few better comics to read - especially if you enjoy a legitimately unnerving Joker.

I like my comics like I like my coffee - in huge, unquestionably unhealthy doses.
