10 Insane Alternative Versions Of The Hulk You Won't Believe Exist

6. Hulk (The End)

Old Man Logan Hulk
Marvel Comics

Ever since the first moment Bruce Banner transformed into the Hulk, he wanted to be left alone. People never really seemed to get that despite the fact that he barely said anything other than "Leave me alone," while batting tanks out of his way.

In Hulk: The End, the green giant finally got his wish, but it's not all sunshine and rainbows, as everyone else in the world is gone. The story is set sometime in the future after an unspecified apocalypse of some sort left the Hulk as the only surviving person left on the planet.

Despite being alone, it's not a perfect life, as Bruce Banner is still inside, always there on the edge of the Hulk's consciousness.

The world is a hard place, even for the Hulk, as grotesque mutated roaches scour the globe, eating everything they come across, including the Hulk. Sure, his body heals itself after, but who likes being eaten by flocks of mutated roaches?

The story concludes with the death of Bruce Banner, who dies while the Hulk is still in control of their form.

With the death of Banner, the Hulk comes to realise that he would also die if he reverted to his Banner form. With this realisation, he understands that he is finally alone with the thought that, "Hulk...strongest one there is. Hulk...only one there is...Hulk feels...cold."
