10 Insane Alternative Versions Of The Hulk You Won't Believe Exist

5. Immortal Hulk

Old Man Logan Hulk
Marvel Comics

The Immortal Hulk is one of the most recent versions of the Jade Giant, having been first introduced in 2018. the Immortal Hulk is what the Hulk became following a number of deaths and rebirths over the years. Unlike his former incarnations, he isn't in a rush to emerge in a rage from Banner.

He's content to wait it out, coming out only when the sun goes down, which mirrors how the Hulk originally manifested when the character was first introduced. What's interesting about this version of the Hulk is that by all accounts, he is the strongest and most powerful version ever depicted, up to and including Maestro.

The Immortal Hulk is, in many ways, the next step in the Hulk's evolution. He's different in many ways from his past incarnations; smart, articulate, and quite possibly more intelligent than Banner.

He is able to drive Banner's actions through gut feelings, and he picked up the ability to smell whether or not a person is lying to him, and seeing as his driving force is vengeance, it's pretty useful. The biggest change revolves around his refusal to emerge during the day.

Previously, the Hulk would step out of Banner's shadow if any harm came to Bruce. He would effectively save him by transforming, but he's done with that. In the first issue of Immortal Hulk, Bruce took a bullet to the brain and fell lifeless to the floor. When the sun went down, out came the Immortal Hulk, once more resurrecting himself and Banner.
