10 Insane Alternative Versions Of The Hulk You Won't Believe Exist

4. Infernal Hulk

In just about every depiction of the Hulk, he's tied to Bruce Banner and vice-versa. In one alternate reality, that wasn't the case, as Bruce and the Hulk were finally separated into two distinct bodies via magic due to the fact that Bruce Banner was also the Sorcerer Supreme of Earth.

After separating himself from the Hulk, he banished the giant green rage monster to Hell, where he became corrupted by the demonic beings he encountered there. The corruption extended deep into the Hulk's psyche, and he became a demon himself, devoid of anything good or virtuous; he became the Infernal Hulk.

When Spider-Man, Deadpool, and Bruce Banner traveled to his reality (Earth-11638) from Earth-616, the Infernal Hulk managed to escape from Hell by trading places with the Hulk persona of the Earth-616 Bruce Banner — nobody said getting out of Hell wasn't complicated.

Upon returning from Hell, the Infernal Hulk immediately went after his version of Bruce in an act of revenge, but he was saved by Spidey and Deadpool. Together, the heroes managed to defeat the Infernal Hulk, but it required a reversal of the banishing spell that separated Banner and the Hulk in the first place. Naturally, this was immediately followed by snapping Bruce's neck before the Infernal Hulk could take control and emerge.
