10 Insane Marvel Alternate Universes You Won’t Believe Exist

There are many phobias in the world, covering everything from spiders to a fear of having a phobia. A phobia you likely currently don't have, however, is that the Earth has eyes and is sentient.

But rest assured, because after reading about the Earth coming to life in Exiles #52, you will never get to say you don't have that fear. Earth-4162 is a planet that is very much alive, having been given sentience after Ego the Living Planet placed a seed of awareness into the China Sea in order to get himself a planetary baby.

If this wasn't enough to leave you solidly weirded out, our heroic team manage to find the Earth's brain, which has grown not that far beneath the planet's crust. It's not a rock brain, either - it's a regular fleshy brain, that Reed Richards then manages to tap into in order to take control of the rebellious orb.

As fun as the plot is, it's probably better the main Marvel canon is on a planet that isn't all brain underneath the surface - for several reasons.
