Earth-212 is a tricksy little creature, in that you could have seen it a couple of times without really realising what it is.

Or, rather, you could see it both times it appeared and not know what it is, as Earth-212 has only appeared in the comics twice; once in Marvel Now! Point One, and once in issue eight of the second volume of the Young Avengers. In both of these comics the most important part about the city isn't addressed, as Earth-212 basically exists as a place for heroes to have a nice Korean barbecue and a chat with one another.

But this conceals a pretty big secret, as the universe's creator, Keiron Gillen has described the world as "an infinite New York, covering the whole surface of the planet", making it one of the most drastically different Marvel universes since the one where the Ghost Rider picked up rollerskating.

I like my comics like I like my coffee - in huge, unquestionably unhealthy doses.
