10 Laziest Comic Book Villains

9. The Living Eraser

Professor X Red Skull brain
Marvel Comics

There's a lot of villains that we don't really need to revisit, no matter how many reboots the Marvel Universe has. The Living Eraser is definitely one of those villains.

The Living Eraser came at a time when the bad guys tended not to last longer than a few issues. The writing team didn't bother wasting too much time and energy on thinking of another face for Spider-Man to punch.

There isn't another character quite as lazily thrown together than this guy (except maybe TypeFace).

The villain did exactly what you would expect of him. Using a device called the Dimensionizer, he was able to run around erasing people from existence. Except, it wasn't actually wiping his victims off the face of the Earth. The device was actually a matter transportation unit, so as it passed over someone, it would transport them to somewhere else.

It's kind of cool, being able to send someone across different dimensions to avoid fighting them. But that's not really the usual way of doing things, is it?

Despite being an interdimensional being, his whole thing was to commit crimes and then just send anyone who confronts him somewhere else, so he didn't have to deal with it.
