2. Darkseid
Darkseid is one of the most over-powered, characters in comic book history. So, why does he lose so often?
The villain could literally destroy Superman without even standing in front of him. His Omega Beams pack an enormous punch and he doesn't even need to see his target, he could literally shoot someone from around a corner if he wanted to. Yet, for some strange reason, he doesn't.
Okay, obviously DC can't fully unleash the full power of Darkseid, if they did, the next fight would last a singular page while he destroys everything in a flash. So, what is he doing with his incredible strength and all these powers?
It's possible he just enjoys playing cat and mouse with the strongest heroes in the universe, but maybe it's something simpler than that. Maybe he just cannot be bothered to follow through on his plans.
Take the recent DCeased event. His attempt to extract the Anti-Life Equation from Cyborg went horribly wrong, causing it to corrupt and instantly infect the God. Instead of trying to fight it, he immediately throws himself into the sun to end it all before it takes hold. Now that's what I call lazy.
