9. Etrigan The Demon
Diehard DC-ers will no doubt claim that the Green Lantern Oath is the best in the medium. There is another character out there, however, who could lay claim to that title too. It goes something like this:
Etrigan, also known as Jason Blood, is a Jack Kirby created character and one of the most preeminent elements of DC's supernatural universe. Along with Constantine, Zatanna, Deadman and The Spectre, he's probably one of the most recognisable faces of that corner of comic book-dom. He's not all that popular, however, which is a shame, because the character's more than ready to grasp any and all opportunities that could, for all we know, be lying in wait.
Etrigan, being from that supernatural corner of the DCU, lends himself well to the horror genre. Given how we're experiencing something of an R-rated revival as of late, it puts the Demon in a very fortunate position. We know not yet if Justice League Dark will ever be moving forward (a common occurrence among most Guillmero del Toro projects, it sadly seems), but if it is, it only makes sense for the character to get a starring role.
If not, then, whatever - he can get his own TV show; he at least deserves that.
