10 Little Known Superheroes That Would Make DC Millions On Film

Static Shock: Rebirth of the Cool
DC Comics

2000's Static Shock was one of the DC Animated Universe's finest releases, so it should be no surprise, really, to hear that fans are pretty fond of the character.

Created in 1994 by Milestone Media founders Dwayne McDuffie, Denys Cowan, Derek Dingle and Michael Davis, Virgil Hawkins - while undoubtedly known to the DC faithful - has never really gotten the chance to shine outside of his comic series and TV show. Fleeting references have been made to the character in other projects, and he even had a planned appearance in Injustice 2, but talk of a live action adaptation has stalled in recent years.

It's a shame, because Virgil, like many of his other Milestone cohorts, possesses some crazy potential for a live action TV series and/or film. DC really needs a unique, socially conscious project to counteract the boom and bombast of their other series, and Virgil is just the guy for the job.
