9. Cheshire
Cheshire is a Vietnamese assassin, one without superpowers but with a whole host of heightened skills. Real name Jane Nguyen, Cheshire has expertise in martial arts, acrobatics and poisons, making her a formidable foe for whoever she comes up against.
Her nails, long and sharp, are often coated with poison too, so even just a scratch can be deadly.
She’s already featured in the Teen Titans and Young Justice series, and is clearly a malleable enough character to fit into a great number of plots. The problem with some villains is that they become vacuums, taking up all of the air and suffocating the rest of the story. Cheshire though does not have that problem, and therefore could slot into a great deal of DCEU movies.
Birds Of Prey’s potential sequel seems like a good fit, considering the Sensei & Student storyline fed into a complex relationship with Black Canary. Have another Bird (let’s be honest, it would be Harley) stand in for Lady Shiva and it definitely feels like it could work.
Elsewhere, if they ever bring Deathstroke back, Cheshire has worked with him before, as well as with the League Of Assassins. There’s a few possibilities here.
