She had also fallen in love with Superman, which he felt would put her in further danger. Unhappy about all of that, the titular hero pulled a power out of nowhere. Kissing Lois Lane, he wiped her mind of all knowledge for the previous few days' events, before reverting to the bumbling and shy Clark Kent that she knew before learning of his heroic secret.
